CBF Hollywood, born Harold Joe Jr. in Dunedin FL, is a multi-faceted artist whose cadence is an impression of his life experiences – past and present. The Tarpon Springs, Florida native experienced childhood in a universe of different sounds. When Hollywood was a young boy, he would listen to his grandfather play the organ daily in preparation for the church’s Sunday morning service. Music was constantly present in CBF Hollywood’s household, played by family members. This exposure to music helped to shape the young Harold Jr. into the artist he is today.
CBF Hollywood was initially uninterested in becoming an artist. He discovered that making beats for his family members wasn’t enough to keep him piqued in the game. During their recording sessions, he would mentor them on how they should rap on his beats.
